Vinay Gupta
Founder & Managing Director
Seasoned maritime professional with over 30 years of experience in both sailing and technical leadership. Began his career as a Junior Engineer Officer in 1994 and rose to Chief Engineer Officer by 2002. Founded Union Marine Management Services in 2012 and currently leads its strategic direction and operations. Known for championing transparent ship management, embracing digital innovation, and driving the company’s vision of operating clean, safe, and happy ships.
Anurag Sharma
Director – Fleet Operations
Master Mariner with over 35 years of experience across onboard and shore-based roles. Joined UMMS in 2012 and currently oversees day-to-day fleet operations. Brings deep expertise in ship management, crew deployment, and international compliance. Respected for his hands-on leadership and strong focus on operational discipline and safety.
Alok Kumar Singh Sisodia
Director - Technical
Marine engineer with over 27 years of experience in seafaring and shore-based technical roles. Began his sailing career in 1997 on chemical and oil tankers and moved ashore in 2012. At UMMS, he currently oversees technical operations as Technical Director. Valued for his expertise in technical compliance, operational integrity, and safety-focused management.
Harish Joshi
Country Head – India & Head of Quality Assurance
Marine engineer with over 30 years of experience in shipboard and shore-based roles. Started his career in 1998 and rose to Chief Engineer before transitioning ashore in 2008. A part of UMMS since 2013, he currently leads Indian operations and quality assurance initiatives. Known for his technical depth, structured approach, and commitment to excellence.
Sanjay Kumar Mondal
Senior General Manager – Technical
Marine engineering professional with 28 years of industry experience in vessel operations and technical management. Since joining UMMS in 2012, he has led technical performance and compliance efforts across the managed fleet. Recognized for his strategic mindset, focus on operational reliability, and commitment to continuous improvement in vessel safety standards.
